| nVidia Wait a minute, we have seen this before... FarCry engine choses another render path when an nvidia card is detected, lowering the Image Quality.. so it's actually FC's fault?

| Nope, nVidia, cos they can't do high quality AND speed, AND FC, cos it supports that mentality |

| this isn't farcry's fault for 2 VERY good reasons: 1) Thus usage of pixelshaders should not effect the performance by that amount. I tried this by switching between PS2.0 and PS1.1 in 2 different games and I didn't see any differences... at least that was with my ATi card :/ but the main reason: 2) The 6800 uses PS3.0 .. or at least PS2.0 with current the far cry version... So ... it hasn't got anything to do with the makes of far cry. (well mayb .. isn't far cry an "nvidia the way it's meant to be played" game ? .. well if cheating is the way then no thx for me ... I'll go collect poststamps ty. |

| uhm, DriverHeaven has experimented with this and has forced the FarCry to use the default paths instead of the nVidia paths, this resulted in perfect image quality. so the hardware is up to it for sure.
