MSI unveils its 'green' GeForce GTS 250 cards
 

According to MSI, the cards adopt a "GTS 250 GPU with lower voltage decreasing power consumption by up to 25%," which may be true by the whole picture shows that, although less energy-hungry, these models have lower frequencies than a regular GTS 250. To detail, the 'green' models have their GPU, shaders and memory set to 675, 1620 and 2200 MHz, respectively, while reference cards are clocked at 738, 1836 and 2200 MHz, respectively.

Slower even compared to the GeForce 9800 GTX, the N250GTS Green cards boast DirectX 10 support, dual DVI connectivity, a 256-bit memory interface, make use of Solid State Chokes (SSC) and Solid Capacitors, and have dual-slot coolers, the one on the Twin Frozr models being a dual-fan solution.
