Default MSI preps Geforce GTX 260 with 1792MB for reasons unknown

The new GTX 260 flavor will feature double the amount of GDDR3 memory chips found in current models.

The card, dubbed MSI N260GTX Lightning, will pack 1792MB of memory, as the GTX 295 does, and will be manufactured on a red PCB with dual-slot cooling, dual fans, and five heatpipes. The card also features an 8 + 2 phase power design, including capacitors that support temperatures up to 125C with an advertised lifetime of 5000 hours.

Same reason as the 768MB 128 or 256-bit 9600GSO, 2GB 9600GT, 2GB HD 4850... someone will always buy it.
