More Than a CPU Cooler Clearly the processor is no longer the only component generating large amounts of heat. Today’s powerful computers are just as likely to have chipsets and power circuitry temperatures that are also over 40 degrees. Such a large number of hot spots in the one system are likely to turn PC cases into desktop ovens. Unfortunately, water cooling alone cannot deal with all these high temperature components.
