Modding the OCZ HydroFlow Water Block For Better Performance

The base plate of this cooling block is bright-polished and in the center with a gradated, and/or increased surface provided. The sense of such a gradation lies to increase the contact pressure of the radiator in the center. Often is Heatspreader on CCU easy inward curved, which leads to insufficient contact in the center, where the processor cores sit. Owing to the gradation a radiator will have like the hydraulic flow also on a curved Heatspreader ideal contact, which leads to better temperatures.

The problem at the thing is the fact that the hydraulic flow was developed before core i7-Prozessoren was available. Core i7-Prozessoren have not only altogether a larger surface than the Core2-Prozessoren, also that a i7 is clearly increased in relation to the predecessor generation. We have to therefore cover the suspicion that the increased surface at the radiator ground hydraulic flow is too small, around the surface core of a i7 completely and this one of the reasons for the bad measured values in our test are.
