Microsoft's OEM partners want to keep Windows XP Now more than half a year into the launch of Windows Vista, it's beginning to look as though Microsoft may have a rebellion on its hands, at least in the corporate world. While Windows Vista continues to sell like hotcakes via OEMs to consumers, businesses are calling up those same OEMs and asking how they can get Windows XP instead. In fact, according to the Microsoft UK Partner Team Blog, the #1 licensing question asked about Windows Vista is: What downgrade rights does Windows Vista Business have? http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post...-of-vista.html |
I surely hope they succeed, because Vista at this moment holds no advantages worth the upgrade effort in my humble opinion |

no offence, but the interface is secondary; and in this case, the Aero actually degrades usability in my humble opinion; I don't need no flashy animation or 3D pop ups and glassy overlays; the areas where Windows XP can be improved upon are not interface, but more under the hood functionality, something which has hardly been addressed in Vista; making an unworthy upgrade. |
