Default Microsoft Quietly Fixes Windows XP Resource Hog Problem

So, what's up with Microsoft and XP these days? First, XP is given a death sentence with no further technical support, then cuts off life support by removing MSE from the options (then abruptly did an about face) and now they are fixing a long standing resource hog problem. Microsoft is sending mixed messages to XP owners once again. Microsoft's fix took effect on Tuesday. It apparently stops systems from grinding through older Internet Explorer updates before releasing system resources. The fix also seems not to require any actions by Windows XP users or IT pros to take effect.
