| Microsoft Phasing Out Iconic Nokia Brand Name Microsoft is beginning to phase out the Nokia brand name and will replace it with Microsoft Mobile. The Nokia brand name will not disappear immediately, rather it will slowly fade into the sunset over the next 18 months or so.
