Microsoft buys security company
 

SOFTWARE BEHEMOTH Microsoft has bought a New York firm which makes software that fights spam and spyware.
The firm called Giant is small and only has 12 employees, and because it's privately owned, no-one apart from the top nobs knows what it's paid for the company. µ

I installed GIANT on my parents PC because neither Adaware or Spybot were able to remove a lingering spyware, the GIANT soft did the trick :)

My favorite source of information on spyware trends just got purchased by MS and all of the data I usually get from that site is no longer available :( After PestPatrol was purchased by CA it went downhill rather fast so hopefully MS will keep GIANT on a good route. I'm not happy about the data being pulled though thats for sure!
