Memorex announces $269 Blu-ray player

Memorex is giving movie watchers another choice when looking for low-cost Blu-ray players, with its MVBD-2510, which will be available for $269.

Memorex is best known to consumers for its blank media, but hopes its latest foray into Blu-ray will help give customers a low-cost alternative to most Blu-ray players. The player ships with Profile 1.1 instead of Profile 2.0, so owners will not be able to download extra content from the Internet, but that's not a surprise because of the lower cost of the MVBD-2510.
