| Measuring Latency Performance While there are lots of different settings that make up memory timings, four of them in particular are most widely used. In fact, most of the modules stating timings will mention these four settings: CAS Latency, RAS-to-CAS delay (tRCD), RAS Precharge (tRP) and tRAS (Cycle Time). When you see a memory module marked as “2.0-2-2-5” or “3.0-4-4-7”, these are the four settings that are being mentioned.
