Lenovo has used MWC 2016 to unwrap a pair of new convertible laptops and a tablet with detachable keyboard.

Firstly there is the Yoga 710 convertible notebook, a mid-range offering that will start at $499 for an 11-inch version and $799 for the 4-inch model. This one will hit the shops in May. The larger 710 will has aSkylake Core i7 CPU and up to a 256GB SSD with Nvidia 940M graphics. This should allow gaming-on-the go with a lower resolution setting.

Both have a new hinge antenna which Lenovo claims gives it a 20 per cent stronger Wi-Fi connection than the older Yoga 700. Both have a 1920 x 1080 resolution display and eight hours of battery life, with Windows 10. There is Dolby Audio Premium on board too

The Yoga 710 weighs only just over a kilo (four grams over) and can change between four different modes: the usual laptop mode, tent mode, stand and tablet mode.
