Default Lamptron HM070 Breaks through the Software Barrier with AIDA64!

One thing Lamptron is known for is hardware based fan controllers. One thing Lamptron is NOT known for is software control… of any kind! The new HM070 is completely changing everything we know about this company. If you want an external screen for monitoring critical PC stats, Lamptron has partnered up with AIDA64 to bring us something revolutionary.

The HM070 Hardware Monitor Specs

The HM070 is basically a 7″ screen that can plug into your PC for hardware monitoring. Easy enough, but Lamptron added some features in there for added convenience. The display not only comes with a stand, but also has the means to be mounted inside a case as well. The interface has customization options, a few of which you can see below. Where the fun really sets in is with the video though. If you’ve always needed a dancing anime girl in the background of your hardware monitoring, then you life is now complete!

Working with AIDA64

The big news for the HM070 is the ability to use AIDA64 for monitoring. As all of you know, FinalWire has built a great reputation for themselves in this area. What you might not know though is that working with an external display is actually something coded into the software. AIDA64 has a page that specifically
details external display support. Support ranges from LCDs, to VFDs, and even OLEDs. While Lamptron is working with AIDA64 on this, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they had to join in a special partnership to make it work.

Regardless, I think this is a great idea from the company. Making an affordable external display for hardware monitoring is perfect for someone who doesn’t want to put the resources into a second monitor. Check out the links below for more info on the companies, and we hope to have a review for this product in the near-ish future.
