Intel X25-V Value SSD to get to 80GB in 2010 Thanks to a new 2x nm architecture, Intel will be able to introduce 80GB value drives that probably won’t cost you arm and leg. Intel also plans to continue with X-25 M – Mainstream and X25 E – Enthusiast drives, but these will end up faster and more expensive, compared to Value series. http://www.fudzilla.com/content/view/16910/36/ |
So what's the go here? The 'current' X-25 M G2 will become known as X-25 V and the 'new' X-25 M will use the upcoming generation technology? |
I think it will be more like the 40gb Kingston drive |
G2 stays as the G2. Good chance this will use "3" bit flash chips... shorter lifespan, lower write speeds, but high capacity at a lower cost than today's chips. |
