Default Intel Starts Shipping 160GB X25-M SSD

Our source indicates that Intel has started to ship its 160GB X25-M Solid State Drive (SSD).

Intel 2.5″ X25-M SSD employs 10 parallel NAND flash channels equipped with multi-level cell NAND flash memory, featuring maximum read/write speed of 250/70MB per second. Its write speed is far slower than X25-E (170MB/s).

With MTBF of 1.2 million hours, 160GB X25-M has been shipped already. Its price is supposed to be around $990. According to Intel’s plan, 160GB version of X18-M will be available next month.
