Intel planning "multiplier unlocked" CPUs based on Clarkdale/Lynnfield

According to Steve Peterson, head of marketing of Intel's chipset division, his company is considering new affordable models to introduce overclocking. Peterson made the commitment announced in a conversation with Tweakers.net. He would not tell to what cpu and what would the corresponding socket, but the most logical choice would be 1156. Also not sure whether one or Lynnfield Clarksdale with unlocked multiplier will appear, but when it happens, would very soon take place, gave way to Peterson.

When asked about what the clock would potentially be assented earlier statements by Peterson Intel employees that "there is hardly a ceiling, but as long as the heat is taken away". The overclocking-cpu should be available in limited edition and like the E6500K only be marginally more expensive than standard units.
