Default Intel killing off 65nm Core 2 Early Next Year

The Core 2 Duo based E6850, E6750, E6550, E6540, E4600 and E4500 will receive a product discontinuance notice in Q4 08 while they will slip to its end of life in Q1 2009. The Pentium dual core E2180, E2160 and E2140 should also be reaching its end of life in Q1 2009. The last one to end its career in Q1 2009 is the Celeron dual core E1200.

Both the QX9770 and QX9650 will receive a product discontinuance notice in Q1 while the last of them should be selling in Q2 2009, when these two will finally reach its end of life. They will be replaced by Core i7 CPUs.
