 |  Intel G45 ready for DisplayPort and HDMI Intel's upcoming G45 chipset will have native DVI support, but it seems like those interested in playing with HDMI and DisplayPort have to resort to Intel's ADD2 riser card to gain the extra connectivity options, which has been the case with most of Intel's integrated chipsets in the past when it has come to additional ports beyond the humble D-sub connector. Intel showed off a quad-port ADD2 card at IDF in Shanghai with support for a pair of HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. As the chipset can decode HD video in all of the common formats without the need of the additional accelerator card that was used with the G33 series, the G45 chipset could become an interesting platform for HTPC style systems. http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...79&Ite mid=37
