Intel Expands Centrino Mobile Tech With Pentium M Processor 765 SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 20, 2004 -- Intel Corporation today introduced the Intel® Pentium® M processor 765, expanding its mobile processor offerings and enabling a broader range of Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology-based notebooks for corporate and home users. More than 50 percent of Intel Pentium M processors shipping are now built on Intel's industry-leading 90nm manufacturing process technology, including the new Intel Pentium M processor 765. Based on Intel's mobile architecture, the new processor features 2MB of integrated, power-managed Level 2 cache and a frequency of 2.10 GHz. It also features a power optimized 400 MHz system bus and includes power saving technologies such as Enhanced Intel Speedstep® Technology, which helps optimize application performance and power consumption to enable extended battery life. Intel Pentium M processors, along with Intel® 855 chipset family and the Intel® PRO/Wireless Network Connection family, are key components of Intel Centrino mobile technology - Intel's best technology for mobile computing. From full-size to ultra-thin notebook PCs, Intel Centrino mobile technology-based systems enable improved high-definition video playback, faster application response and higher bandwidth wireless data transmission.
