Discussions are appearing as to whether Intel's decision to use old memory controllers with Havendale and Clarkdale will cripple memory performance. According to a source at a major motherboard company, the memory performance of both Havendale and Clarkdale is anything but impressive at this stage. The bandwidth of the tested engineering samples was substantially less than that of Lynnfield, or any Core i7 for that matter.,9165.html
