My MSI A64 system refused to boot into Windows except in Safe mode with SP2 installed. it was a clean install...

thx, I needed this.

I tried to install SP2 on a virtual pc (ms virtual pc) as a test. During the install I got a low disk space error (I used 4GB for WinXP SP1 + Norton 2004 + ZoneAlarm 5 and the SP2 package).
Setup seemed to hang, I rebooted the pc and he tried to continue the setup again. After waiting a long time nothing happend, so reboot again and then the sh*t begun, there where files missing and the system could not be started.

Thanks to your link I managed to uninstall the SP2 in the recovery console.

Now I'm looking to free up some hd space and try again.
