Default Hitachi 7K400: 400GB Hard drive review

Hitachi was in fact the first company to introduce a hard drive with such capacity. This was quite a breakthrough in the field, since up until then, such capacity was only found in external drives which obviously had significantly inferior performance.
The first question one might ask himself is what can you do with 400GB of storage? The answer is pretty much anything, but the main purpose of such drives is for PVR (Personal Video Recorder) devices, as well as for users who constantly deal with large files or even for server farms, where having a large storage capacity while keeping the physical space to a minimum is always a blessing.
