The HFX® mini is a fanless heatsink case with a futuristic design. An external power supply, integrated silent boxes and fanless cooling with heatpipes provide a truly silent mode. An integrated VFD and remote enables an ease of use.

Vienna, 01.03.2006 – After the success of the HFX®, a completely new heatsink case for power saving processors like Pentium M or AMD Turion will be launched at the CEBIT 2006 in Hannover. At the booth A09 in hall 24, mCubed will present the HFX® mini heatsink case.

The HFX® mini is the world’s first noiseless high-end entertainment computer case with an extraordinary design. The HFX® mini heatsink case combines silent technologies with power saving features and connectivity for audio and video devices.

The HFX® mini is very slim with a height of only 9cm and will fit perfectly into every living room. Enjoy DVDs, CDs, photographs, MP3 and games with this home entertainment centre. Switch from CDs to internet without getting up from your sofa.

The high end design with its unique mesh and the perfectly optimised heatsinks may reveal what might be found inside: pure power with Intel Pentium M Dual Core. A slot-in DVD, VFD and IR are hidden behind the highly polished acrylic front.

The HFX® mini offers enough space for:
- ATX or micro-ATX motherboard
- 3 HDDs
- 1 Slot-In DVD
- 1 VFD with IR
- 3 Expansion slot cards with riser cards

The power supply is fanless and external (same as laptops). Up to 2 hard disks can be cooled down with a special silence box. The DVD is also in a silence box. This reduces noises and cools down the devices with the case heatsinks.

To meet HiFi connectivity standards, audio and video connector (5 RCA plugs and 1 Scart) can be provided on the back panel to exploit the whole HiFi potential of the HFX® mini.
