HD4670 Crossfire-X up to 63% performance efficiency

Zolkorn, a famous overclocker, has been testing the HD4670 in dual and triple CF configuration. Using three 3D benchmarks, we see a very decent performance scaling of the 4670 when adding a third card to your CF platform, having a performance efficiency of 63%.

A 50% increase in videocards gives us, in average, 31% extra performance, which is a 63% performance efficiency.

I don't play 3DMark a lot, how does it do in games;)

No idea, but this kind of increase in performance is very rare, even in 3Dmark applications :-)

Wow, the same impressive scaling :o

That Vantage scaling is simply unbelievable

Performance scaling over single card:

Crossfire link-up efficiency:

Understand this graph as follows: if a single card performs at 100%, how does two cards each perform in comparison to a single card. 100% means that the two cards each perform as good as one card, resulting in a score that is twice as high. If a dual card solution has a rating of 50%; it means that Single or CF has no effect on the score; in tri-cf config 33% means no effect.

Wow, amazing numbers :ws: . But do two HD4670's bring more bang for the bucks ?

3DMark Vantage is the latest 3D benchmark of Futuremark, which gives you a good indication of how videocards perform in the latest 3D games, because these are fully GPU limited. Looking at the 183/304% increase over single card, I'd say both dual and triple CF are worth it :-)
