| Hacking the Seagate 1.5TB Drive to turn it into a Velociraptor Killer Today our at home hardware hacker Artiom shows us how to turn the 1.5TB storage monster into a high performance drive that takes the performance crown away from the Western Digital Velociraptor. Don't think it can be done? We assure you it can, and we show you how. You too can buy a half priced drive and get top end performance. http://www.techwarelabs.com/seagate_1-5tb-mod/

| Interesting idea, but the review really needed to do some real world tests. The difference amounted to 3.1ms, that's negligible. Drive throughput is just one factor in performance, just as access latency is another factor. |
