Boldly going into a shrinking market

Google is set to release two new flagship smartwatches confirmed for release in early 2017, even if the market is shrinking and no one can make much cash on them.

Jeff Chang, product manager of Android Wear at Google, confirmed the future watch plans but said the watches won't be made by Google.

No-one has seen the two new watches yet, but leaks have indicated that they will be “sporty, feature packed and lighter, stylish and wearable” which is probably a good thing – it would be pointless being an unwearable wearable. The maker could be anyone including Samsung, Huawei, Motorola and LG.
