Default Google Pixel 3 XL review goes online

Reveals most of the details

As if all the previous leaks were not enough, people at a Russian website managed to get their hands on a pre-production version of Google's Pixel 3 XL smartphone and publish a lot of details ahead of the October launch.

The review shows the entire design, features, and the camera details as well as some details about future Google products and pricing. Of course, this is a pre-production unit that ended up in the hands of the Russian site so there might be some slight difference in terms of features, but it comes with the final software build and the latest camera app.

As far as design goes, the big notch and the bottom bezel are pretty much what we will see on a final version, so it might not be the most beautiful smartphone when it comes to the market. The review also confirms the Active Edge feature, which will allow you to squeeze the sides of the phone for some functions.

The leak also confirms some other specifications, like the single rear 12-megapixel and the front 8-megapixel camera, while earlier leaks also pointed to a 3,430mAh battery, rear fingerprint scanner, the infrared sensor at the front, USB Type-C port, and wireless charging option. In case you missed earlier leaks, these pointed out to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of storage, and a possible 2960x1080 panel larger than 6.4-inch (maybe even 6.71-inch).

According to further details, the Pixel 3 XL should be selling for around $750 while the smaller Pixel 3 should launch at $650. The good thing is that both come bundled with Pixel earbuds, which could be selling for $150. Both should launch in October.

The posted review also gives some details about future devices from Google, which include a flexible smartphone set to come in 2020, and more smartphones.
