Gigabyte GM-W6C Wireless Optical Mouse

When you mention the brand Gigabyte Technology, one cannot help but think about motherboards and graphics cards. After all, Gigabyte is famous for such products and they have, over many years, built a trusted brand for themselves. Today's Gigabyte is very much different from what we know in the past. Although their core products are still centered around motherboards and graphics cards, they have diversified themselves further with products such as wireless routers, notebooks, coolers and input devices. Yes, believe it or not, Gigabyte now manufactures devices like mouse and keyboard.

If you think about it, input devices are an essential part of any PC or notebook computer. Without them, you would be pretty crippled in Windows unless you're very familiar with keyboard assigned commands. However, in a world where input devices are dominated with familiar brands like Microsoft and Logitech, one cannot help but wonder if the input device business is ever going to be lucrative at all. Don't forget lesser known brands like A4Tech and Genius, plus high-end models like Razer have basically filled every possible market segment. What's left for Gigabyte?

Well, we don't think there's absolutely no room for a new player. In fact, Gigabyte seems to have positioned itself well into a total solutions provider. Imagine a day when you purchase an entire PC decked with Gigabyte products. It may lack variety, but one thing for sure, you won't have to run to multiple service points to get your equipment repaired as you can have everything diagnosed at a single location. Without saying, there's the interoperability factor as well, and you can be sure all Gigabyte products will work with one another flawlessly.

Today, we have Gigabyte's latest addition, which is a wireless optical travel mouse for notebook users. The GM-W6C is an innovatively designed mouse that carries with it an RF receiver which can be deployed anytime when needed. Unlike most input devices out there, this is targeted at mobile users who prefers the feel of a mouse over the notebook's touchpad. Of course, with its wireless capabilities, you'll get all the freedom you need.
