Default Gigabyte gearing up to offer Power Supplies

The humble PSU may be one of the duller areas of planet computer but there are reasons to think it could become a lot more interesting. Plenty of folks involved in reducing power draw suggest that the PSU is one of the most lossy elements of the computer supply chain and the US Environmental Protection Agency is mandating an 80 per cent minimum power efficiency rating on all PSUs for the Energy Star version 4 programme that takes effect on 20 July this year.
