| GeForce 6800 Series Comparison As a result of the lackluster response to the GeForce FX series, NVIDIA’s market share at the high end shrank considerably, losing out to ATI and their 9700 and 9800 product lines. NVIDIA’s primary sales from the FX series were coming from the low end – although this sector of the market has always been highly important, this isn’t the market that enthusiasts associate with NVIDIA. With NVIDIA's business model also dictating that the high end should be used as flagships for to drive sales to the rest of the range, their lack of high end representation from the FX range would hardly be a desirable position for them. http://www.beyond3d.com/previews/nvidia/6800s/
