Gateway Unveils NV-Series Notebooks Running AMD Fusion Processors

Gateway on Monday rolled out three new entertainment-oriented notebook PCs in its NV product line, each of which runs AMDs Fusion APUs, which offer integrated graphics on the CPU.

Gateways flagship NVS 51B05u model features a dual-core AMD (NYSE:AMD) E-350 Fusion processor, code-named Zacate, running alongside an AMD Radeon HD 6310 discrete graphics card. With both an integrated CPU-GPU solution and a standalone GPU in the same system, Gateway is looking to attract customers with improved gaming performance and online video streaming. In addition, the NV line targets both consumers and enterprise users.
