Times they are a changin’, my friends. But we already knew that right? They always have been and always will be. That’s the essence of progress, and the driving force behind the technology industry. For consumers, it means that the poor suckers in R&D centers around the world are feverishly working their butts off trying to bring us cool new toys - constantly! Over the last few years, there has been a rather dramatic shift in the focus of many of our favourite tech-gadget-supplying companies; a drift that suits me just fine. One that puts digital media, and more specifically, audio into the forefront of their product lines. As one can imagine, with PCs and consumer electronics converging so quickly, with multimedia playback stuck right in the middle of it all, the PC-audio market is bound to be affected. Hopefully for the better.
