Default FSP awarded “Approval as an Excellent Seed Manufacturer” by Intel

FSP’s motto has always been “service, professionalism and innovation”. Following approval from Intel, this motto has paid off.

FSP Group (established in 1993) has been developing power supplies to support the latest IT specifications through continual technical progress and collaborative development with world leading computing solution providers in a highly competitive marketplace, with its powerful R&D capacity, extraordinary production scale and superior product quality.

FSP recently participated in the development of products supporting the latest Balanced Technology Extended (BTX) specification introduced by Intel and has subsequently been approved as an Intel seed manufacturer. FSP introduced the BTX-compliant FSP275-50BW and FSP200-50PLJ power supplies, at Intel’s press conference on 15 November 2004, thus endorsing the group’s leadership in professional power supply unit manufacture.

As the best individual computing solution, the latest BTX form factor specifications announced by Intel at the Nov. 15th press conference “strike a better balance in thermal management, system size and shape, acoustics…high-performance applications”, enabling an integral expansion of hardware functionality in the next generation PCs. BTX is Intel’s integrated technical solution for noise, mechanism, thermal management and system size and shape for the next generation PCs. By applying BTX to motherboards, chassis, and power supplies and thermal modules, Intel hopes to meet the demands for hardware integration of the next generation PCs. Therefore, FSP has engaged in the development of the brand new BTX power supplies in order to deliver power supplies that meet the requirements of the industry.

According to Intel, about 50% of PCs using the ATX form factor will be replaced by the new generation BTX form factor by 2006, and FSP has successfully manufactured BTX-compliant power supplies during the second half of 2004. The two new BTX-compliant power supplies, FSP275-50BW and FSP200-50PLJ, will be launched into the market in early 2005, coordinating with the boxed thermal manager introduced by Intel.
