Default Frametime tests 2.0: our take on the latest developments

Of course we have to await further test results with the FCAT method, but based on what we have seen so far, the results of FRAPS and FCAT frametime tests correlate closely. It would appear the FCAT method actually validates rather than undermines the FRAPS method of frametime testing. FRAPS does indeed appear to paint a fair picture of GPU performance, and unlike FCAT it’s still feasible to perform with the large number of games and benchmarks needed to provide a balanced and representative reflection of real-world performance.
