Default FEAR first impressions and benchmarks

Stand out moment? Realising that I could throw a grenade, then go bullet time and shoot it in the air, blowing it out just where I wanted it.

"Throughout the level, there are clearly some great graphical touches that keep this at the cutting edge of game engines. However, we can't help but feel that the polygon count is a little low, especially when it comes to the general layout of the level - the offices, structures, staircases and the like. It just looks a little square at times."

"because, as you must know, most office building are build like giant bubbles, with lots of round stuff. So that game with all its corners is surely not making a realistic impression on me"

holy crap. I've just played the demo, it's über creepy . That child that runs through the building that suddenly disappears, people that sudddenly appear and vaporize when you shoot them, brrr, nearly got myself 2 hart attacks . And then the scene you get in the small hall (not going to tell you what will happen and when, keeping it fun for the others )

You know, the HL1 kind of squareness.
