Default EU Banning Violent Video Games?

Germany, which took over the six month rotating presidency of the Union at the beginning of this month, is leading the initiative but the European Commission has also been pushing for more control of video game violence.

yeah, as if you dont see violence on the 7/8 o'clock news...

either way, it's moronic. a good friend and i have actually been toying with the idea of starting a website whose main goal is to combat such idiotic crap as "games are a big cause violence", "games are physically addictive", "games are teh dev0l" etc. the idea is to combat it with both serious arguments on one side and to use humor and wit on the other.

sadly, it's not just the germans... it's pretty much a worldwide phenomenon.

recently, some american jarhead compared gaming to using crack cocaine... but then again, that's the same country where the internet is made of tubing.
