I have the same controller on my IC7 MAX3. Maybe with biosupdate, it will be able to run a raid5 array too?

Nope the NF2 400GB chip doesn't support soundstorm audio.
But a SD audigy 2 is still better, just bought me one, and the difference is remarkable.

THIS EP-8RDA6+ Motherboard looks good but doesn't do Raid 5 if you beleive what their web site says... Epox.

Either they did a mistake... or it only does Raid 10

And if it is only Raid 10 you can bet I'm not buying hard drives to mirror them... my information isn't that crucial

Default alternative???

i am really tired of waiting for the new
Epox board. While searching for an alternative, I stumbled apon the Soyo KT880 Black Dragon 2. This is Via's answer to the Nvidia 400 chip set. With 8 channel audio and support for a ton of features. Most importantly, it's avalible NOW. I think I'm just going to buy it instead of waiting for Epox's Vaporware. Anybody else care to look at the Black Dragon 2 and post a comment? Thanks Brian770

TOLD YOU THIS BOARD DOESN'T Have RAID 5

Franck

RAID 0, 1, 10 (a.k.a. 0/1) is supported.

Raid 5 is not supported.

Your web site says

Supports Raid 10

How about Raid 5 ????

Thank you…

Cause it makes a big difference.
