Epox AM2 Motherboard Lineup
 

With today's AM2 announcement, the slew of motherboard announcements is already upon us. Epox has half a dozen AM2 motherboards lined up for 2006, and the company has decided to lead off with the nForce 570 offerings first. The company's first AM2 motherboard, the MF570 SLI, is expected to be available immediately.

The MF570 SLI features the typical ritz of an nForce 570 motherboard: dual Gigabit LAN, 7.1 channel Realtek ALC883 audio and eight SATA 3.0Gbps interfaces. Gigabit LAN is provided by a pair of Marvell 88E1116 ethernet controllers. Like all other nForce 570 motherboards, the MF570 SLI has two x8 lane PEG interfaces that are automatically configured for x16 support when one card is placed in the PEG interface or dual x8 when two cards are inserted -- no more paddle cards like with nForce 4. The nForce MF570 SLI is expected to cost less than $150 at availability.
