Enermax MODU87+ 700W Power Supply
 

The Enermax MODU87+ 700W represents the first totally new design from Enermax in the ~700W range that we have seen in a couple of years now and with it comes a whole lot of goodness. The MODU87+ 700W has good DC Output Quality that never really changes through testing, is very efficient, is very quiet, and is generally well built. However, there is some give with this take and that includes poor transient response, slightly less than stellar voltage regulation, and a look that is certain to polarize users. With a current price point of around $219 though, there are much better deals out there, including the Seasonic X-750 (~$179), which best this unit in every metric we have. If Enermax is serious about capturing users hard earned dollars they are not only going to have to put out seriously competitive products such as the MODU87+, they are also going to have to price them competitively and right now the MODU87+ 700W just isn’t priced competitively enough.
