Today we are going to test 11 fan models from such respected manufacturers as GlacialTech, Cooler Master, Noctua, Scythe, SilverStone and Zalman that measure 120 x 25/32/38 mm.

the results for the Noctua S12 and P12 matter the most, the blade design cuts the noise despite 50 more RPM


That special Scythe fan seems to be serious business, lets call it a potential Silent Eagle Killer and test it :D

Fans use several different bearings. The Scythe Minebea Silent IC "has already been discontinued", and they say it was quite audible partly due to the ball bearings. The other Scythe fans were using sleeve bearings. Those two Noctua fans both used SSO-Bearings.
