In the hardcontested radiator market it will emphasize itself increasingly heavily from the competition and the customer appropriate reasons will call, why the decision is to fall just on the own product. Some months ago EKL and Xigmatek presented therefore first radiators, whose Heatpipes should rest upon directly on the Heatspreader of the processor and offer thus clear achievement advantages opposite conventional radiators with copper base plate. These above average achievements obtained, however it did not become under any circumstances clear whether the so-called „ Direct Touch Heatpipe “ - technology real achievement advantages furnished.

Today we look at ourselves the second generation of the radiators without separate base plate, to which the identically constructed EKL alpine foehn belongs largely to Clockner and Sunbeam core Contact Freezer, which create large expectations by vollmundige advertising promises of the manufacturers at the customer. To what extent these are also covered, we clarify in our detailed test report.
