Default DUH news of today: Intel "Pentium" still stronger brand name than "Core"

We've learned from Intel's Marketing Director Mr. Zene Ball that the Core brand is still weaker compared to Pentium. Pentium is still much stronger than any brand, but Centrino is also doing really fine. Core 2 and Core i7 brands are doing well in the performance and enthusiast segment where a lot of people know about them, while regular users know Intel's Pentium much better.

What were you thinking Fuad with this Pentium was launched in 1993, that's 16 years of this brand plastered all over their products; The Core series only became known in 2006 with the launch of Core 2 Duo. 3 years.

So it's now a surprise that a name which has been around for 16 years is better known than one that's only 3 years old? :wtf:
