Default DisplayLink Announces Microsoft Windows 8 Support for PCs, Notebooks

DisplayLink, the leading provider of USB Graphics Technology, today announced its latest USB Graphics Software release, adding support for Microsoft's Windows 8 Operating System. Its latest Version 7.0 release is fully backwards compatible with all DisplayLink enabled USB 2.0 and 3.0 products and adds support for new Ultrabooks and Intel based Tablet / Slate PCs. DisplayLink users can now enjoy all the new features of Windows 8 along with multi-screen connectivity for docking stations, monitors, and graphics adapters via the simplicity of a single plug-and-display USB cable.

"Our latest software release enables USB Graphics on a much wider range of computing products, including Intel based Tablet and Slate PCs and Microsoft's Surface Pro platforms for business," said John Cummins, SVP Sales & Marketing. "We've worked closely with our key customers and partners to ensure everything is ready on time for the Windows 8 launch and are proud to have the drivers fully available today for users globally."
