DFI LANParty UT RDX200 CF-DR
It's been a very long time since we first checked out a motherboard based on ATI's Xpress 200 chipset, and we were pretty impressed at the time. The initial Xpress 200 chipset boards were meant for business computers and media centers where the integrated graphics were the main attraction. In the enthusiast space, where performance, BIOS options, and dual-graphics cards are key considerations, the chipset hasn't gained nearly as much traction as Nvidia's nForce 4.
This is slowly starting to change, now that ATI has released CrossFire graphics cards for both the Radeon X800 and X1000 series. Today we'll take a look at the RDX200 CF-DR from DFI, a true enthusiast board using ATI's Xpress 200 CrossFire chipset along with its SB450 southbridge, to find out how it compares to the latest nForce 4 boards for AMD processors.
