A 'Critical' Patch Day For Microsoft Microsoft's monthly round of security bulletins cuts across several parts of the software giant's product lineup and are designed to prevent attackers from taking control of users' systems remotely. http://www.internetnews.com/security...le.php/3676456 |
Update requires reboot. |
followed by BSOD :D |
this f*cking patch forced a reboot on a machine which was doing an export of an adobe premiere edited movie for a certain Scythe Contest Movie; end result: corrupt video file, corrupt adobe premiere install, and if we're more unlucky still, a corrupt Adobe project file :/ thank you Microsoft. |
I've already been there and had that happen, it's definite BS on Microsoft's part. I love GPedit.msc, lets ya disable the forced reboot trick so they can't pull it on ya. Hope your file at least survived all of that... :( |
