CPU Waterblock Roundup

That said, those blocks which have relatively low pressure-drop profiles would benefit in this setup because of the pump used, the Laing D5 which most of us know is a little beast. The correlation between increased flowrate and lowered C/W is quite well known, even though there it is a log curve and plateaus off. Regardless, there still is a benefit, and in this matter, this is one of the possible reasons I put forth why the CoolTrek Vostok could have done as well as it did. The block itself is optimised for low flowrate systems, so with the pump utilised in this test, the flow rate is much improved over what it normally gets. I re-tested this block twice more to make sure that this was not an aberration. Both times it still could sustain that same overclock. So now I open myself up to biasness, but so be it really.

What this overview was meant to do was to just give each reader a nice overview of each block, an interesting/different test of all the waterblock's relative performance to one another, and lastly to reinforce that it is not just the block that matters when building a watercooling system, its all the components combined optimised for one another and for your specific needs that each person can get the best out of their watercooling experience.
