Corning's New LCD Glass: Lighter, Safer and Cheaper
 

Corning, Inc., announced recently that they will be launching their EAGLE XG LCD glass which is manufactured without the heavy metals used in previous LCD glass products. The new glass will rid the production process of harmful waste and also to cut manufacturing costs and, in turn, reduce prices.

According to Corning's press release, the new manufacturing process will leave out arsenic, antimony, barium, and halides such as chlorine and flourine. For a complete listing of materials used in the new EAGLE XG LCD glass you can register at Corning's website for free and download the PDF.
