Default Buffalo Unveils HD-PUSU3 Slimline HDDs

Buffalo Japan unveiled the HD-PUSU3 line of slimline portable HDDs. Measuring 79 x 115 x 8.8 mm (WxDxH), and weighing 140 g, the drives enclose 500 GB 7 mm-thick Ultraboook-grade HDDs, which are connected over SATA 6 Gb/s, and wired to the host over USB 3.0, with a single cabling looking after power and connectivity. Available in red (HD-PUS500U3-R), black (HD-PUS500U3-B) and silver (HD-PUS500U3-S), the drives ship with Windows and Mac installers for its Turbo PC EX2 software that works to increase throughput of the drives. Slated for February, it is priced at 11,655¥ ($132).
