Default B-52 Bomber Gets First Major Communications System Upgrade

What's older than your parents, but still flying on the front line of the US air defense? Give up? It's the 59 year old venerable B-52 bomber that has been in continuous service since 1955. At long last, the bomber is finally being brought up to 21st century communications standards with its first major upgrade since John Kennedy was President. And as old as it is, the Air Force expects the venerable plane to remain in service for at least another 35 years.
