Default ATI's X800GT to arrive next week

SOURCES CLOSE to ATI in Lombok said the firm's X800GT product will arrive on the eighth of August.
And over 60,000 cards using the technology will be available within four weeks of its introduction in a major push to catch the "back to school" wave.

The eight pipe chip could have an R423 or an R480 core but you won't know and will likely not care when you buy the cards online or in a shop.

There, will, however, be two flavours of the thing, 128MB cards with 475MHz cores and using 250MHz GDDR3, and 256MB cards using the same core but with the GDDR3 clocking at 490MHz.

Although ATI's partners are unlikely to offer these products in the USA, because the dollar is the universal currency of the IT trade, it will have an estimated sales price of $150, said the wizards of Lombok.

Although the cards being offered won't have the personal signature of Dave Orton, it will be offered as a limited edition and likely partners are HIS, Gecube, Club3D, Power Color and Sapphire, according to sources. µ
